Meanwhile, I feel free to use mods, I'm not forced to choose between two features for no good reason.
Nobody cares that players can use mods to get achievements, there's no complaints, if there's mods that help to get achievements it's not popular enough to matter, you just don't hear about it.
Then Civ VI came out and it allow players to get achievements when they are using mods and guess what, the world didn't end. Civilization V was like that, so I never got into mods there since I was interested in achievements and I'm not much into modding the game, aside from fixes and quality of life stuff.
